As a concerned parent and community member, I’m writing to urge you to support the repeal of Senate Bill 1.

SB 1 removes vital authority from the Ohio Department of Education and places our children’s future in the hands of politically appointed leaders, undermining the voices of educators, parents, and local communities. This bill does not support our schools; it politicizes them.

We need an education system shaped by those who understand our children’s needs, teachers, school leaders, and families, not by political agendas.

Our kids deserve an honest, well-rounded education. They deserve schools where resources, decisions, and leadership are focused on learning, not control.
